I grew up in a small town located in east central Indiana. I began my career by engaging in a creative job I had dreameed about since I was a young girl. I was a hair designer and business owner for 28 years. I enjoyed my career, but decided I needed to pursure my artistic endevours further. I enrolled at Ball State University in the art education program and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1998. After teaching for seven years in Indiana, my husband and I moved to Gold Canyon, Arizona to be closer to our son and family. I am currently in my fourth year of teaching art at Queen Creek High School. My art centers mostly on people and nature. My hope is that those who view my work will respond with joy and excitement as I do in art and life.
